Undiagnosed rash

Hi. 6 weeks ago I started developing an itchy rash that started on the back of my scalp and upper back. Then appeared on the rest of my back my arms my chest and abdomen  been to an allergist and she sent me to a dermatologist that did a biopsy that stated contact dermatitis or medicine reaction. The dermatologist said it could also be a food allergy. She suggested  another dermatologist. I feel sick from this. Been using cortisone lotion and antihistamines not working that good. Help. Any ideas as to what it is or what to do   Thank you

Thank you for answering. My husband bought a used car loaded with some kind of fragrance,  he tried getting it out but no luck.im not in the car much but I get runny nose and itchy throat and lungs around him. I started eating strawberries. But I have always eaten strawberry yogurt. Other than that, I can't think of anything else that would be new. I'm know I've had fragrance allergies for 6 years now. Use fragrance free everything.

I can understand your frustration in being sent from Billy to Jack. Lets agree that this is allergy, the question thin is what is the allergen?
Think hard and long on what occurred just before the rash appeared. Anything new? Cloths, bed linen, carpets, pets, detergent, cosmetics? Anything new at work?
If all this draws a blank then consider food allergy. You can get strips of food concentrate to test directly on your skin and this might be a good place to start. Identifying allergens is a job of detective work and takes time. In the meantime continue with your steroid lotion and antihistamine. Good luck.
