What IS this?? Anyone having the same symptoms?

OK so about a year ago I got this pain in my wrist/hand.  It seemed to be coming from the underside.  I wrapped it in a bandage and that was that.  A few days later it faded.  Shortly after, it came back.... in my OTHER hand.  from there the pain would come and go, jumping from hand to hand> top side to underside... then to my arm... my leg (now mind you> this "pain" feels like broken bones... it is completing debilitating.
I started doing some research and thought maybe I had carpal tunnel... however with the pain jumping like it did, and going in my arm, I ruled that out.  I saw my Doc (as next thing I thought was RA??) He ran blood tests... and nothing. He gave me some celebrex to try w/ muscle relaxers and said if it does not go away we may need to do an MRI.  Well I am not a big 'go to the dr" kind of person so although the pain has continued to come here and there, I have not gone back yet.  Recently I developed an ear infection and have been placed on antibiotics.  I am not sure if the two can possibily be linked, but since beginning the medicine, on one day I had my right arm totally incapacitated from it, my knee, my left wrist, then  the NEXT day, the OTHER arm started in... leaving me now with both arms hardly able to be lifted (it's kind of in my rotatrcuff).  It feels like my limbs have been beaten with baseball bats, there are no visible signs on the outside of the skin and no other symptoms.  What the heck IS this?? Anyone?

Hi
Welcome to the forum!
I do not mean to scare you, but if you have developed weakness and inability to move both the arms after an ear infection and your limbs are achy and bruised, then you should consult a doctor ASAP. Maybe you can go to the ER. You are right you need a MRI or CT scan which the doctors who examine you can decide. At times ear infection can cause infection in the brain or an embolism or movement of a clot in the brain causing mini stroke like features.
The other possibility is impingement of the cervical spinal nerve. The MRI for this can probably wait until your next appointment, but the other possibility needs to be ruled out.
Please discuss this with your doctor ASAP. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
