What did I do to my hand?

Fell in bathroom.  Landed on my side with my left hand behind me and ring finger and middle split apart.  This happened 2 days ago.  Palm, top of hand, and fingers to first knuckles are purple, black and blue. The hand is swollen and hurts to move fingesr.  Do you think I need to have a Dr. look at it?

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
You either have a very sever soft tissue injury, or a muscle or tendon injury with probably bleeding. You could also have damaged or broken your knuckles. It is difficult to say what exactly the cause is without really examining you. Please consult a doctor immediately. Meanwhile immerse your hand in cold water for 4-5 mins 3-4 times a day and keep it elevated. Take any anti-inflammatory tablet.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
