Why is my mentrual cycle all wacky??? Could it be from being underweight and eating very little???

Why is my monthly all wacky???

My monthly is usually always a week late but that's not the problem I don't consider that late considering it's the normal for me.
But lately my period has been all over the place. In the summer it was a month and a half late. This month it's a week early which for me is 2 weeks early. It was also 2 weeks early a couple months ago.
But this month my period is weird. It's not here every day and it's extremely light! (usually I'm heavy) and last month my period only lasted me 3 days, it usually lasts me 5 days.

Could me being 5 pounds under weight be causing this??? I haven't been diagnosed but I'm pretty positive I have an eating disorder.
Could me being under weight and eating very little be causing this??? Though I wasn't underweight when my period was a month and a half late in the summer, but I was still losing weight.

I've so far lost 30 pounds since June so maybe that's messing up my menstrual cycle???

When I was young I had anorexia and lost my periods completely, along with any sexual desires.    When I finally came to my senses and told myself to have faith in my body to find a good weight and eat when hungry I slowly came back to a life.  I then got married and had children and only then discovered how lucky I was as many anorexics can no longer have children.  You may need to go and talk to a psychologist who will help you deal with the reason for your anorexia. Mine was lack of the feeling of control over a certain person who was controlling me.  I turned my anger, frustration and resentment inwards. Do not fear getting fat, as now I am old and have never been fat! So enjoy your life and maybe become more assertive. All the best.

My monthly is late this month. I'm not sure exactly how late, but my gut instinct is telling I've lost too much weight and with the weight I've lost I've lost my mentural cycle as well.

This scares me because if that's so that means I'm going to have to gain weight.

But I guess I'll just wait and see if my monthly comes

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
If you are having eating disorder, then it can cause irregular periods. So this needs to be checked. The other cause of irregular periods could be due to hormonal imbalance, stress, chronic illness, polycystic ovarian disease, thyroid gland disorders or diseases, pituitary gland tumors or cyst, galactorrhea, prolactinomas etc. You should consult a gynecologist and get examined and investigated as soon as possible to know the exact cause of all these episodes.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

The answer is probably yes Bran bran. When your body doesn't get enough nourishment hormone production is interrupted along with other serious problems. The cells in your body need food and if they don't get it they will begin to take what they need from any organ in your body including your bones. The end result is dangerously poor health and becoming an old woman long before it is time to be one. And trust me, being an old woman is not what you want to be until you have to be.
