black and brown stool?

so i just went to the bathroom for the second time today. my um.... poop. was completely solid. nothing wrong. but it was black on one side. and brown on the other. and not a like pitch black. kind of a light black so to say. dark brown.. yeah.

not sure what it could be though, i had stomach problems for a few hours the other day. and i took 3 imodium tablets. (chewable) in like a 2 hour period.. and ive read that imodium and pepto can do that... so was just wondering.. thanks :)

Black stool can be due to medicine you took. It can also be due to bleeding into gut such as due to acidity, IBS, inflammatory bowel disease and even due to gastroenteritis. If this repeats it self get the stool tested for occult or hidden blood. Hope this helps. Take care!

yes i know pepto will do that to me for sure. im not a dr but i really dont think you have anything to worry about
