chronic bacteria vaginosis really be herpes

About 8 months ago I noticed burning in my v. Gyn said it's bv take antibiotics it will go away. While taking the antibiotics for the bv I noticed the skin on the front and sides of my thighs were burnig. For 8 months now I have been suffering from bv. Sometimes I het lucky and the meds work but only for 3 days.  Then it comes right back. I've tried everything there is to try. Gyn has cultured me at least 3 times amd it's always negative for bv. But she sees clue cells under the microscope. I've been tested 4 all stds  all negative. But I'm wondering since my only symptom is burning could it be internal herpes? If so wouldn't the gyn had seen something on my cervix? And would an outbreak last 8 months w/ maybe 3 day pain free after 6 minths of treatment.  I've never had any blisters nor has my husband. So is this bv or something else?

I dont know what bv is, but its more than likely NOT herpes.  Vaginal dryness can definitely cause pain, but Im not sure if its only during intercourse or can be constant.  Herpes cant be tested for unless you are having an outbreak, and if you were, the gynocologist would definitely see at least one blister, not necessarily on your vagina, labia or clitoris, but inside too.  I hope you find out what this is as soon as possible!!  Keep us updated, Im curious as to what it turns out to be! *hugs*

You don't say how old you are, so I can't say it's vaginal dryness, although it can happen at any age.  Ask your doctor for a prescription for Estrace or Estradiol vaginal cream.  You don't have to follow the directions - I just use a little down there every other day and it keeps my v. moist and keeps it from itching or getting irritated.
Some women swear by organic plain yogurt - applied freely down there, too.  And don't forget to take acidolphilus to replace the good bacteria that the antibiotics killed off in your gut.
It could be that you are lacking good bacteria so the bad keep taking over -
    Wishing you the best
