dizzy spells
my partner is on hyzar & metapprol heart medicine she has been going to the doctor about these dizzy spells she has been getting usualy in the morning and it is random & cant figure it out!! her doctor put her on a aniety pill called siltalapran for axiety to see if this would help and it did for 2 days but then she went to work & bam there the dizzy spell was again. Her blood pressure is ok her doctor said 144 over 82. ter also has had tennitus in her ears alot over the past years that comes and goes but she works around alot of loud machines and has for the last 30 years she is also 55 years of age & is going through menapause so we have taken all of this in. Her doctor told her maybe she should see a ears, throat & eye specialist more $$$$ which we dont have but at this point we are just trying to figure what causes this sudden dizzy spells, some of them only last minutes but some last all day on and off, but then the next day she is fine but thats after staying home from work & relaxing???? any sugestions would be wonderful. Sorry for the misspelled words.

Yes, it works very well for me. I have been battling an inner ear problem since August 2009 and I would NOT wish it on my worst enemy. It came out of no where. Seems like I turned 40 and everything started happening "all of the sudden." :( I am not sure if it was hormone fluctuations or what that caused all my woes.

some people will never get to the reason of some things, my sis had dizzy spells that bad she couldnt get out of bed, she had every test done and they couldnt find anything at all, is she having dizzy spells where she feels faint and dizzy or vertigo and the room spins they both completley different things, an unresolved ear infection will cause vertigo this can be treated with a pill called serc-16 ive had this and it worked, dizzines is lack of blood flow to the brain
Thanks for your comments. Yes she has had blood work and everything was ok. Her heart is fine and her blood pressure is under control with the meds. You know how you start to over think all of this stuff??? could it be the meds? could it be suger? could it be that she is not on any hormone therapy? she was trying not to use hormones but hey! at this point if that was the reason bring it on.

In her case the dose of the two medications should be split apart such that the combined effect (the blood pressure must be lowering down too low sometime during 24 hrs) is spaced over a few hours. Discuss this with her doctor. The second thing is that since she works in aloud noise environment and has tinnitus, she could also be having some vestibular dysfunction that causes dizziness. Maybe wearing ear plugs at work will help.
Hypoglycemia, anemia, and menopause too could be the cause.
I think you should discuss these possibilities with your doctor. It is difficult to comment beyond this without examining. Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
