I feel something hard in my right butt cheek when I sit down

bmi
I just felt it yesterday. When I sit down, I feel there's something hard inside my right butt cheek. It's like I'm sitting on a small stone or a hard object. What could it possibly be, should I be worried or will it go away after a while? Thanks.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
The swelling could be a deep seated abscess, a lipoma, a neurofibroma (normal collection of nerve and fibrous tissue) or if you are thin built it could just be underneath bone. If there is no pain, then it is unlikely to be an abscess. If you feel it again and again, consult your PCP and get this examined.
Hope this helps. Do let me know if there is any thing else and keep me posted. Take care!

Its probably a little sub clinical infection of a hair follicle. It will likely go away on its own, but may take a while. If it bothers u a doc could get rid of it with antibiotics.
