I tend to twist my ankles very easy. I´ve fallen from the stairs a couple of times hurting my self. Sometimes I have ciatica problems since I feel once from the stairs when I was 14. I couldn´t feel my legs for a while, and then the feeling came back and as a normal teenager I ignored it and never looked back. I used to run a lot, but since I was 16 every summer every 4 years I twist my ankle bad enough to wear a cast for 2 weeks. And funny thing, when I am "alright" I have noticed that just while standing still, talking to someone or so, out of no action done, one of my ankles tends to just bend out of no force and making me fall. I am starting to believe that this has happened douring my ankle twisting before, cause it has been on normal walking, not even running. that on my step I stepped on the side of my feet instead of the plant, and that has made me fall and cause of the weight made me fall.
In a way in my daily walking I have got my feet tangled into objects or stepped in objects many times without falling, cause I am always aware and I have been able to not release my weight into that leg to make me fall. I am always able to either step back and release my foot, or jump preventing the fall. But with the twisting of the ankle no, because I have not been aware untill it´s too late.
Could there be a disease or problem that causes your ankles to bend inwards as spasm just because?
My grandmother and one of her 12 brother´s and sisters had parkinsons disease.
I was born with a problem in my feet, they were facing inwards from my toes areas opposite to ballerina´s possitions. I didn´t wear the corrective boots cause I hated them, but ballet helped a lot, and then just remembering to move my foot outwards....
Mom says the doc. suggested that this problem was going to make me fall a lot with me tipping over myself. But this is not my issue, I don´t get my foot being in the way of the other, I get my ankle twisted without noticing until I step on it. Sometimes being standing up which makes me fall if I am not close to grab on to something, sometimes when I am asleep I´ve felt it move like spasm. This motions are not very often. Once or twice a year.

It appears that you probably have excessive pronation of foot. Pronation is the normal movement that allows the foot to adapt to uneven walking surfaces and to absorb shock. Excessive pronation occurs when the foot has a tendency to turn inward and stretch and pull the fascia along with it. This also causes heel pain, and because of the posture pain is also felt in hip, knee, and lower back. This can explain the pain you feel on and off and also why you fall.
