general health

i suffered a minor crash last saturday, and have had major back pain since this is n the lower tailbone area. for the past  3 days i have had stomach pains aswell these pains are making me throw up and i have been passing fresh coloured blood in my bowel movement. the bowel movements are like turning a tap on to receive water.i was put on medication of tramodole 50mgs, paracentamole 500gms and voltran 75mgs 3 to 4 times a day. these pills have not helped but was wondering if the pills have anything to do with the blood in my bowel movements

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Yes, stop the medication immediately. Since there is blood which you can see, it is coming from the lower gut. This can happen in hemorrhoids, rectal polyps, diverticulosis (outpouchings from the bowel wall), inflammatory bowel disease, or dysentery. In all probability you either have hemorrhoids, drug reaction or dysentery. Get stool tested and consult a doctor immediately. Take an OTC lactobacillus preparation and yoghurt with your meals. Drink plenty of fluids. Eat light, do not stay hungry but eat simple things like toast, porridge, cereals, crackers etc. Take ORS. Take over the counter antacid and antiemetic (this SOS for vomiting). Take care!

I would call the doctor.  Are these new medications?  Do you have any colitis issues?  I am not sure what all the medicines are, but they seem very high in dosage.  Are you eating enough food with them?  I would look them up on google and see what the side effects are, it is possible you are reacting to them.  Take care.
