hi...i am new to this site and just saw ur post.  I just wanted to tell you that ur not alone with this...there are many ppl out there that have anxiety.  Two years ago i started to get really bad panic attacks in the middle of the night.  Ever since then i have been on medication to help with the anxiety.  i havent been the same since...but meds do help a little...nevertheless..im still not the same outgoing person that i was before this started though!!!  Good luck to you and if you ever need someone to talk to about this email me....i wish i knew what was causing my anxiety and how to over come it.  I get the dizzi spells and panic attacks when going places also!!!  It is terrible...
its nice sometimes just to be able to talk to someone that can relate to what your going through....

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi
Welcome to the forum!
I am sorry to hear what you are going through. This is a traumatic experience in itself, appears to have been precipitated by another traumatic experience in past. What is a good news for you is that agrophobia is not a problem embedded deep into the subconscious or in other words it is not a deep psychological problem.
The treatment is by Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) with or with out medication. This includes muscle relaxation training, breathing relaxation training and gradual exposure to situations that cause you to panic under expert guidance. Stress can be reduced by adopting yoga in daily life. Also sessions are held to understand your thought process that leads you to panic.
Talk to your doctor about CBT and see where you can easily avail it. Once you start it, you will be fine.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!

Do you have any idea what started this, si i realize that home represents saftey to you my daughter used to have panic attacts bad due to an abusive husband, she would wake up at night screaming, but she has been to group therapy and has been able to cope with this, she will never be the same girl, but at least she can now face it, have you tried hypnosis, i really do not know what to tell you i do know that i have had panic attacks, but not like you, and your post caught my attention, also i am sorry that you are going through this as you are missing out on a lot in life, and i truly feel for you  luck  jo
