how to tell if you injured or overworked an umbilical hernia repair

I am 27 years old, i have two kids and had an Umbilical Hernia Repair done 9weeks ago. I've had 2 infections since then and a CT scan done with inconclusive results if there is a new hernia or just scar tissue at the site. I've been cleared to pick up my 25lb daughter and was wondering what are signs that I've overworked or injured the site....i have what looks like a dark blood blister that hasn't swelled our popped up at the very bottom of the surgical incision that just showed up today. Thanks for any advice given. Megan

I followed my post surgery requirements and didn't lift anything till i got the okay and was cleared by my surgeon. The most i lift is my daughter and was cleared for her weight, my son jumped out of the car and would have fell on ice if i didn't catch him. That is where the pain came from...i was just checking on signs of being overworked...I've had 6 surgeries since the end of April and am getting really tired of seeing my surgeon every month or so
