i took phenazopyridine hydrochloride for uti now my semen is yellow
irecently took an over the counter medication phenazopyridine hydrochloride for burning discomfort while urinating and made my semen yellow why? can u help me thank you
thank you for your feed back kindd. it was indeed the medication i was taking. no more yellow semen.
If this doesn't clear up soon, get tested for gonorrhea if you have been having any unprotected sex. Luckily a shot will clear it up.

Pyridium or Phenazopyridine Hydrochloride has properties of an azo dye.It is coloring your semen. Your ejaculate is comprised of fluids which are stored in small sacs called the seminal vesicles. So the color can accumulate in the seminal fluid and show up even when the drug is stopped.So pls don’t worry as it is due to this drug.But pls see that you don’t take pyridium for too long(maximum of two –three days) as it can cause other side effects.
