Dear meem9775,
Honey how old are you?  It means you've had a cold for a week, dehydrated because you haven't eaten, cough because you've had a cold.  Sounds like it's about over.  Drink some juices, hot tea, pamper yourself for a couple of days and go back to whatever you usually do.
Love and a hug,
footinit

They should go to a doctor as soon as possible.  Are they unable to take in adequate fluids by mouth?  Do they have a fever with the chills?  Is the cough dry, congested, loose, productive?  These are the kinds of things the doctor will want to know.
