Hello,
Since the EKG has come out normal, it rules out cardiac cause of this pain. However to completely rule it out it is better if your get a stress ECHO done. Apart from cardiac causes, it can be due to acid reflux, hiatal hernia or costochondritis which is an inflammation of the joints in your chest. Costochondritis usually goes away on its own. Try an anti-inflammatory medicine to relieve the pain. Heat compresses may also help.
It is also important to rule out any lung conditions as well.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
Go to www.isischiropractic.co.uk and type in chest pain. You could have a number of different pulls and strains because of bad posture or sleeping position or something out of place. See a physiotherapist/ or a chiropractor for the help you need.
Yea, can you be more specific? Like what were you doing before you started to feel the pain? I had chest pains like that, feeling SOB (shortness of breath) and I could be sitting down doing absolutely nothing. But I found out it was from anxiety (once I had the ekg/ecg, stress test, breathing test done). Anxiety is pretty common in young women it seems, so that may be something you want to look into.
