nausea - dry mouth - loss of appetie...kindly help me

Hi, the following symptoms i've posted them with other symptoms in one subject but apparently i have 2 different problems.

Symptoms ARE NOT PERSISTENT some days it can stay 3 days and some days could be 2 weeks!

- Complete loss of appetite even for drinks.
- Nausea (sometimes I don't feel it.
- dry mouth and recently with white coated tongue.
- Bitter taste and bad breath in mouth.
- Little spicy sensation on the top of my tongue.

The above symptoms I experience it 2 times / month or with any stressfull event!
First time was in August 2008 when I had for the first time PMS symptoms with emotional drop down (2 days) and the same was for the next month as well.

After November I stopped breastfeeding and the PMS symptoms has disappeared but this problem still remain (loss of appetite for few days with the mentioned symptoms.

Now I've noticed that this can occure alone usually last days of my menstruation and sometimes when I get stressed so I feel nausea directly and the appetite just disappers!!!
During these days I loose like 2 or 3 kilograms but once my appetite is back the weight goes back as well.
I have to mention that since April 2008 I experience persistent acid/ metal/ burning sensation on the top and sides of my tongue also on the sides of chicks from inside - NO OTHER SYMPTOMS NO HEARTBURN AND NOTHING ELSE.
Dotcor put me on LOZEC 5 weeks but didn't find any minute releif so he stopped it for me, later on it startedto go by itself and back.
My appetite started to be little bit less (I was breastfeeding).

COULD IT BE SOME STOMACH ACIDITY ISSUE? Even though I do not experience heartburn sensation or acid reflux??!!

So many blood tests where done and all came back normal...
I do appreciate your help..........

Hi dr. and thank youu for your reply.

I don't think it's this, in my post I wrote about emperazol LOZEC.
however I would like to stick to one very obvious symptom..
having directly nausea when I have extreem stress it doesn't sound like nervous stomach which produce eccessif acid in such situation? it doesn't have to be GERD..just hyperacidity in certain situation!

Could it be or not?

Hi
Thanks for writing to the forum!
I have answered to your post earlier too. I know it is difficult to analyze things without examining the patient. There is one thing that stands out—you notice the loss of appetite on last 2 days of your period---hence I am wondering if it could be due to endometriosis of the stomach. I know it is not a common site for extra uterine endometriosis but many cases with stomach and gall bladder endometriosis have been reported.
Alternatively it could be due to GERD or acid reflux. Yes, it is possible to have GERD without the heart burn. GERD and heart burn too cause metallic taste in mouth.

Bitter taste in mouth is a common side effect of many medications. It could be due to infection of gums or cavities in teeth. It could also be an abnormal perception of bitter taste called dysgeusia. Post nasal drip as in sinusitis too is a common cause. Certain dentures and artificial tooth or filling of dental cavities too give a metallic taste.

OK here are a few tips for you. Try them. They should help. Having citrus juices, lemonade and foods marinated in vinegar. They help in washing away the metallic taste by producing more saliva. Brush your teeth and your tongue with a tongue cleaner at least twice in a day and surely at bedtime. It will help in lessening the metallic taste. Vit C tablets, over the counter oral mouthwashes will help fight the taste.
Omeprazole is a good drug to combatGERD. Along with it you can try over the counter antacids. However I would recommend you see a doctor and take medication under a doctor’s supervision. Avoid heavy meals. Avoid too much of caffeine, tea, fried food and drinks both alcoholic and non alcoholic fuzzy ones. Avoid heavy exercises within 4 hours of a heavy meal. Raise the head end of the bed by pillows to 30 degrees. Go to bed at least 2 hours after food.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!

I should say also that sometimes when I feel all these symptoms I also feel that without intention my stomach muscles are tight.

Could it be stomach acid due to (nervous stomach) ???
