How does your doctor know that it is "only" gastritis? What tests has he done? Have you had a gastric endoscopy where they actually look in your stomach? If there is an ulcer, that test will find it and it is done under partial anesthesia.
Also, the large bowel makes a tight bend right at the spot you describe, going from horizontal to vertical. If there is inflammation or an out-pouching there or if the out-pouching becomes infected (diverticulitis) it can cause the symptoms you describe. When you eat, the body triggers the colon to empty. It can feel as if someone has their fist jammed under your lower left ribs and is pushing and twisting. A problem there can also trigger nausea and vomiting. A colonoscopy is painless and simple. It can be done while you are awake or anesthesized. Don't know if you've had one recently, but you definitely should go back to your doctor. It's no big deal and you need to find out if your bowel is inflamed and get it treated.
Have you had the blood test for wheat allergy? There is one now. Any food allergy can inflame the colon. You could drop certain allergens from your diet, but you definitely need more tests.
Everyone should have an a friend, husband, sister, or SOMEONE when they go to the doctor or to a procedure. When you are not feeling well, you are not mentally 100% and you need someone to help you remember your symptoms, listen to the doctor with you and defend you if the doctor is rude or dismissive.
Meanwhile, try taking Metemucil or it's house brand equivalent, and drink lots of water. Make sure you are not dehydrated at night. You may have to use the bathroom a couple of times during the night, but better that than hard stool.
Now go find someone to accompany you to your medical visits. Surely there must be someone and they will help calm your nerves.Good Luck.-Beadyeye

Did they treat you with antibiotics for the H. pylori? They usually give long term antibiotics often with bismuth sulfate.  It does sound like an ulcer. The rash, and stringy eye I don't think are related. I would see an eye doctor for your eye, it sounds like an eye infection. If they say it is an allergy then we can go from there and see but usually allergies don't give you the "goopy" eyes they give you red sore itcy eyes. The goopy eyes are usually bacterial. Since you have arthritis the joint pain is most likely from that.  Let me know how (with what ) they treated the H. pylori.
take care,
