rectum issues

I been having pressure in the rectum and anus area and difficulty sitting.  It feels like a wad is there.  Sometimes after a several hours I pass gas and it goes away. Sometime when I sit down for a little I will have to get up and  go to the bathroom.   Once I even pulled on the anus opening after passing gas and it seemed to help.  Today I had alot of pressure in the rectum area.  It was difficult to sit.  This lasted many hours.  I sat down for a little and walked and layed down.  I finally passed gas--2 times--and the 3rd time I had a bowel movement.  It was soft small pieces.  Shortly after I had another loose bowel movement and then another.  When my bowels were finally empty the pressure went away.  I could then sit with little discomfort.   What is going on? What could possibly be wrong?  I had a rectocele repaired 7 weeks ago.  I am really scared.

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
This type of pain with relief on passing gas can be due to chronic constipation or due to inflammatory bowel disorders like IBS, Crohn's and ulcerative colitis or food intolerance disorders like celiac disease.
Increase fiber and fluids in your diet and see if this helps. Also hemorrhoids and fissures at times cause pain and prevent passage of gas by tightening the anal sphincter.
It is difficult to diagnose on net. Please consult your PCP for primary examination followed by proper referral.
Take care!
