Chest pain that comes and goes...

I'm not sure where to start because I feel like things are all over the place.  Let me start by saying I had an endoscopy the 1st week in May and I just haven't felt right since then.  My trouble started with searing Sharp stomach pain that subsided after I reduced my Omeprazole from 40mg to 20mg.  Then I started having random chest pain.  It wasn't constant but it was uncomfortable and irritating.  Lately I've started having chest pain when I roll onto my back in the morning.  It sticks around for a bit but pretty much goes away while I'm at work.  When I get home it starts to come back.  It doesn't hurt until I lay down on my bed.  Tonight I was resting and I started to have some pain in my collar bone and it felt like there was a thumping in my throat.  My co-workers have suggested anemia, vitamin B12 deficiency, varicose veins, and gluten intolerance.  After my endoscopy I was diagnosed with esophagitis from eating something I'm allergic to.  On July 1st ill be seeing an allergist to help with that.  I'm just not understanding the chest pain, especially since I've never had it before.  Has anyone had anything similar happen to them?

Thank you for your suggestions

It takes up to 6 months for the body to recover. I'm on my 5th month now and still have some symptoms similar to yours (only mine are migrating all the time) but acid reflux is no more.

Had some issues last month after eating chinese food, only to find out later that all soy sauces have wheat in them.

I have actually read that going gluten free helps with a lot of issues.  Maybe its just time I give it a try!  Thank you so much!

Going gluten-free completely eliminated acid reflux within 24 hours for me. Maybe yours is the same case... But eating any amount brings it back quickly tho

PS  I had surgery (a fundiplication - stomach stapled to esophagus) because I couldn't stand the pain... it helped for a while... now all symptoms are back and I am so disappointed that it didn't cure me.

I have reflux, GERD, heartburn etc.  and it does cause stomach pain.  I recently started taking Chinese Curing Pills and they seem to help.  Nothing seems to cure it, tho.  I also drink apple cider vinegar and sometimes eat dill pickles.  Supposed to make you alkaline.  That helps too.  Sauerkraut also helps and coleslaw. (Go figure).

I have reflux and gas and it causes severe sharp pain in my chest that hurts mostly when I lay down. So it sounds somewhat like your problem. I take GasX (maximum daily dose all at once when I get it). I don't have it every day though. I take 150mg Ranitidine (can't think of the common name) daily when I'm having stomach pain.  I'll take it for a month or two until the pain goes away. I don't know if esophagitis is allergy related but I know food allergies can cause a lot of stomach distress such as gas (which can cause some of these symptoms). If I were you I would lso aget the EKG done anyway as I have done to rule heart problems and maybe if it is negative get an 24 hour heart monitor and/or echocardiogram. But I've had my sharp pains in my chest since I was a kid and it also responds to Gas-X . But I have palpitations too and they got worse so I had the whole thing done. Better to be safe as they say.. I did end up having a benign arrhythmia but that wasn't causing the main chest pain or the stomach pain. Some people get stomach pain from a hiatal hernia too. But it sounds like you have checked for that. Some others that I have talked to did have a arrhythmia that had caused problems like this or some women get heart problems that give you pain in the jaw and neck etc. Anyway, I hope this helps.

oesophagitis is not due to allergy.....is that exactly ur endoscopy report....i guess it would be like gerd with lax sphincter in diagnosis...it is so then try razo-d r omeprazole with domperidone combinations .....i wold suggest u to meet gastroenterologist
