sore and swollen neck

Hi. I am a 33 yr old female. I am waiting on test results from a thyroid ultrasound and an echo.  I have swollen lymph nodes.  My thyroid feels enlarged according to dr.  I am always tired, but can't sleep.  I break out in sweats at night. I have horrible heavy menstrual cycle.  My whole body hurts. I get headaches. My chest gets this hot sensationand turns scarlet at times.  The swelling in my neck is thick feeling under my chin.  My tonsils are low and swollen. I am always thirsty and dry.  When I wake up in the morning my eyelids are swollen. The dr did blood work and it came back ok.  I don't know the exact tests or results. I really want to feel better. What does this sound like? Can you recommend any tests I should ask about?

Here is a link to autoimmune disorders http://www.thyroid-info.com/articles/autoimmune-checklist.htm  It sounds like thyroid to me also but there may be some things on this list that you are atributiing to something else but is caused by your thyroid. Best wishes.

This happened to my daughter, all her tests came back ok but then we discovered a year later that her thyroid was borderline for being overactive and she was left for a year, in the meantime all her symptoms which match yours got steadily worse, she lost weight and was admitted in with a fast heartrate and there it was discovered she had and overactive thyroid which cos was left untreated had turned to hyper, she has had treatment and is on the mend. You have to go back to doctor and ask for the test for the thyroid to be repeated as you have all the symptoms of an overactive thyroid, you havent said if you have been losing weight??? Good luck
