swollen lymph nodes

I have been running a constant temp of 99.9 and 100.4. My blood work shows high wbc low lymphocyte. My ct scan shows small axillary nodes bilaterally. My lymph nodes in my arms, top of thighs and back of knees are swollen. Autoimmune blood work is negative. Mammogram is negative, been having pain under arm pits. Feeling very weak. Abdominal ct scan shows 11mm cyst left liver lobe, 1.3 cm anterior midpole cortex. If anyone has any guess to help diagnose, please help.

Hello,

I am sorry for all the suffering that you have to go through. In my opinion, excision biopsy of a lymph node and its histopathological examination will help in confirming a diagnosis.Pls discuss this option with your doctor.

Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted if you have any additional queries.Kind regards.

Hi,
Still not diagnosed yet, I had to change doctors because I obtained a copy of all of my office visit notes to maintain my own records for the long haul, and to my dismay, all of my symtoms were documented exactly the opposite of what I told the doctor. I thought that they must have mistaken me for a different patient. I went through another round of tests, no autoimmune disease. Ct scan w/contrast shows liver cyst at 14mm now and kidney septated cyst at 14mm and several complex ovarian cysts. I had a urine test done that showed a creatinine clearance creacl level of 151.1. the normal range on the test  75.0-115.00. I have now developed a burning ache in my mid back, and sides and hip bones. The radiologist said that there is not a significant enhancement on my kidney cyst, does that mean that that there is some enhancement. I need help.

Hello,

Lymph nodes are small (1-2cm) and bean-shaped nodes. they are very important to your body keeping you healthy. Lymphadenopathy (swollen lymph nodes) is usually caused by a viral or bacterial infection. Other causes include allergic reactions, arthritis, cancer, metabolic diseases, and an overactive thyroid (hyperthyroidism).

However, there are many other possible causes of swollen lymph nodes, including autoimmune diseases, such as rheumatoid arthritis, noncancerous (benign) tumors and cancer. What is the constituency of the swollen lymph nodes? Soft nodes are most likely infection or inflammation, firm but rubbery nodes could be lymphoma and rock hard nodes are more likely from some other type of metastatic cancer not lymphoma.

Leukocytosis(high WBC) may be caused by several conditions including bacterial infection, inflammation, leukemia, trauma, or stress.

As you are having liver cysts,it is possible that they have become infected and causing high WBC and swollen lymph nodes.Other possibility is of some malignancy.
I feel that consultation of a hepatologist(liver specialist) will be the best.

Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing.
