tingly feet

For about 8 months my feet have been getting a tingly, itchy feeling when I get hot. Sometimes my toes get red with this. It is the worse when I get out of bed in the morning.(then it feels like it goes up tp the bottom of my calves.) I have been checked for vasculitis, RA, lupus, and tons of other things. It does seem like the tingly is happening more often, on and off during the day.My toes get a numb feeling when I sit at my computer with my feet bent( heels up on toes). This is driving me crazy, does anybody have any ideas? Thanks

I'm a Kidney Transplant Patient. I received my"living donor" kidney 33yrs ago. I have never had a problen. My labs are good. 8yrs ago I contracted a Parvo B-19 Virus after caring for my Granddaughter (5ths Syndrom) It hit me hard, very high fever, loss of function in my legs for a week etc. Though my Kidney is stable I have had nothing but pain ever since, Faitgue,  now,Fibromyalgia, alternating prickeling, tingling, numdness, redness, constant pain in my feet ever since. I'm on pain meds but I'm concerned about my kidney and the fact that as a writer/teacher I have become unsocial, lack of concentration, can't finish my book, have "the Blues" almost all the time and my docs of 26years are not willing to look into alternative treatments. I'm 57yrs old and should be inspiring others rather than trying to "get thru a day" I was 21 when I lost my kidneys, Dialysed for almost 4yrs, was 24.8 years old when I received my transplant. This was before there was help on "how to live" after all this. This present situation *****! I just want to be free of pain,Get my life back....what the heck can I do...who will help me get back on my "feet." We have spent so much $$ trying to find answers, now someone told me my "Red Feet bottoms" are a sign of LIver faliure.....great.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Numbness of toes can be due to pinched nerve, poor circulation, faulty foot wear, diabetic neuropathy, leprosy, nerve injury, multiple sclerosis, lupus, and frost bite. This needs to be investigated before a final cause can be pin pointed.
A MRI of the lower spine, and nerve conduction studies should be done. Other conditions mentioned have probably been looked into. As an afterthought, even electrolyte imbalance could be the cause.
Since I cannot examine you and know other related conditions you may be having, nor is a detailed history possible on net, I have listed the various possibilities that should be looked into. Please consult your PCP for primary examination followed by proper referral.
Take care!
