undiagnosed flushing, etc.

To Hannahmoo and others -  The latest is that a year ago I developed diarrhea on and off with all stool tests normal. Dr. Warner says he still doesn't think it's carcinoid. For 2 or 3 months now I've had no major flushing or real diarrhea, but just got back a third CgA test result.  First two (over a year ago) were normal but just within upper range. This one is not normal. The range is 0 - 5 and my level is 6. I'm waiting to hear from Dr. Warner.  I am convinced its carcinoid because the flush is exactly as described and looks like computer animation. Dr Warner has never seen it but if he did he would agree it's carcinoid.  I've had about 20 tests including blood, urine (even 24 hr urine serotinin 5-HTP) and all were normal until this CgA today.  I'm so scared. No other condition fits my symptoms.  Please let me hear from all of you as to your latest situation.

Lori have you been tested for hormonal problems? thyroid disease cushings, or addisons, disease.
It would be worth having some testing for these, as they can cause flushing, oh and by the way the menopause?
Carcinoid also causes flushing.
Have you had a ct scan of the lungs, and abdomen?
Also pheochromacytoma, which is an adrenal tumour can cause flushing, headaches etc
Hope this helps
Good luck
Im very interested in this post, i have some flushing going on myself at the moment.
