testing for uti when person refuses to give sample

I'm pretty sure my grandmother has a uti.. but she refuses to give a sample to test for it. I was thinking about turning the water off to the toilet and flushing it so there is only a little bit of water at the bottom of the bowl. And she won't be able to flush. Will that water mess up the test?
