Thanks. I went one step further and took over my own care and changed urologists. I learned that the stent should not have been put in before the 6 mm was removed and that was causing most of the problem. Also, I had the stone extracted and it caused another to fall so no have two to go yet, but feel better with better care being delivered.
I would call and say you are vomiting if you want to be seen sooner. If you are vomiting, I think it indicates you have a problem. I agree that a 6-mm stone seems too big to pass. Is it a stone they can use lithotripsy on? As you may know, not all stones will break with litho, so some they have to go after other ways, and it can be tough to get them. But it is important you not have obstruction, and I think vomiting indicates possible obstruction.
The urologist I worked for preferred to do IVPs to CT scans, by the way. Not only do they cost less, but they deliver less radiation.
