Been suffering for almost a year

Have had a swollen epididymis on the right testicle and a swollen bulge in the vas about half way up the sac. It is extremely uncomfortable always, and at times unbearable unless i am sitting in a hot bath. I also have a burning pain that runs down the side of my right leg. Im also going to physio / chiro three times a week for major back / pelvic problems but have never found out if the back pain is related to the testicle pain since they had come on at the exact same time. I've been put on about 6 different medications ( all used to treat epididymitis ) and had every test in the book done to me, with no avail. Im currently getting nerve blocks in the testicle every other month which do hide the problem for a bit, but do not fix the problem and besides a needle in the testicle isn't all too pleasant. Im going to see a second urologist on the 12th of june for a second opinion as i am at a dead end right now.

Is there anyone out there with these same symptoms? What the hell is wrong with me and why is no one out there able to help me !!

Hi,

Have you been conclusively diagnosed with epididymitis and then started on antibiotics?
HAs the lump been increasing in size?
How long have you had the lump and the swelling in the vas exactly?

Is your testis painful to touch?
There are causes other than epididymitis that can cause swelling and pain in the epididymal region and in the testes.

There is no justification for treating epidiymitis (even chronic and noninfective) with nerve blocks.
If nerve blocks have been advised, they could be given on the conclusion that the pain is a symptom of the back conditon.

Since you remember this started at the same time as the back condition, it is probable that the pain is due to your back injury.

Also, have your back injury evaluated by an orthopedician to decide further management, even surgery if required, as you cannot spend sveral years hoping for relief from pain just with treatment from a chiropractor and physiotherapy as you are in your 20's.

Yes, getting a second opinion is a good idea.

Scrotal pain due to epididymitis can be relieved to some extent by limiting activity.
Do keep us posted with your doubts and progress.
