After varicocelectomy - symptoms still present

I've had laparoscopic varicocele repair (ligation of both vein and artery), it's been a month since the operation but I still have typical varicocele symptoms:

- veins in scrotum are about the same size they were before (I had grade III varicocele)
- my testicle aches even more often
- it still hangs really low all the time, as if it was still overheated

I'd like to ask if these symptoms will resolve over time? Or could it be that the operation "failed" for some reason? Or is such fast recurrence possible?

I know these enlarged veins won't disappear that fast, I know some pain may still be present, but what concerns me most is that left testicle hanging really low all the time. Is it possible the ligation didn't help?
