hydrocele recurence
I had hydrocele repair of right testicle it was size of a baseball ! Its been about one week and its exactly the same size still ? Does that mean it has recurred ? It should be the same size as the other testicle shouldn't it? Sum one help tell me if I need surgery again????

It is unlikely that the hydrocele has recurred if you had got the surgery done few days back. It looks like the swelling is due to the surgery itself. Bruising and swelling may be troublesome, particularly if the hydrocele was large. The swelling may be as large as the hydrocele. The swelling may take four to six weeks to settle down. Close fitting Jockey-type underpants are useful and for this you can consult your urologist.
