Question about spermatocelectomy recovery

I had a cyst on my left testical & i had a spermatocelectomy  surgery to remove it. It's been 6 weeks  & my left testical still so big & hard.
Is that normal? my doctor said it takes a long time to heal. is that correct?

I recently had the same surgery and i'm having the same issues. Feels like the testicle has almost doubled in size and it's hard. Scrotal edema has alleviated, but still feel the soreness in my left testicle

I had my procedure 5 days ago, my stitches are still in, the scrotum is bruised which is normal, part of the spermatic cord is tender and swollen, but the testicle is the same size as the opposite one! I am a physician, I think that for some reason something is failing to resolve, like possibly a hematoma! I would go back in and request an ultrasound!

Thanks for your response.
I don't have any redness or pain in the inner thighs (sometimes if i don't wear the special underwear they gave me after the surgery, i feel burning & little pain on the outside especially where the stitches are but nothing inside).
sexual response is fine & no problem with urination.
I saw my urologist twice & he said it takes time & said there's no signs of infection. but it's still swollen inside. It's hard & makes my left testical looks like a medium size mango & i didn't see any improvement since the surgery, to me it seems like it's bigger than before the surgery.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi,

When was your last consultation?

Are there any signs of redness, swelling , pain in the area? Any problems with sexual response?Any referred pain like pain and tingling in the inner thigh? Any problems with urination?

I suggest you seek a follow up consultation with your urologist. Scrotal edema is expected post surgery. A consult with your urologist will help rule out any persistent congestion or edema in the area ( given that this is 6 weeks post op). Meanwhile, avoid any strenuous activities.

Keep us posted regarding your physician's advice.
