Put your cursor over someone's name, without clicking; you should get a box that shows something about that person. On the right hand side of that box, there will be 3 options: Leave a Note, Send a Message or Add as a Friend. Click on Add as a Friend.
Hope this helps and welcome to our community.
I can't figure out how to add friends! Also, congrats kimmit on the loss so far!
i am 5'4 and fat also lol. i started eating healthier a month ago and lost 16.5 pounds from eating healthier and i started working out just today actually. i started out at 242.5 (yikes!) and was 226 yesterday. today i went running/walking outside up and down hills (my thighs really felt the burn) then when i came home i did a butts, guts and thighs workout video. i am wiped. i am 26 and have a 3 soon to be 4 year old son and a five month old baby! love to offer a fellow dieter support and encouragement. i dont get much encouragement at home. for example my husband wants to eat out some chinese tonight, i told him i can't because its just too many calories going to a chinese bufffet, i know i dont hve enough self control to not eat everything i want so i'd rather avoid the situation, so he went out and got take out and sat down next to me eating it.....
We're all here to be friends and help each other. We came here because we needed help with our weight loss goals, including the friendship and encouragement that's so needed to accomplish our goals.
There are a ton of different workouts you can do, you can check out the healthy cooking forum for great food tips.
You might want to try our food diary, in which you can list the foods you eat each day and it will give you the number of calories, plus certain nutritional information. You can see at a glance if there are areas in which you might need to decrease your intake (sugar, fats) or increase (protein, fiber). Also check out the exercise and weight trackers - they are awesome to help you keep track of your activity.
In addition, watch for our Sunday Weigh In post, in which we discuss how we've done for the past week, whether we are meeting our goals, what might have gone wrong or what went right........
We also have a Holiday Challenge in progress - only this year, we are only working to maintain our weight over the Holidays, rather than continuing with weight loss. After the New Year, we will once again pick up our weight loss goals. Please feel free to join us.
