Rapid Weight Loss

Hey all, I'm new to this board and I was hoping that someone could help me out.  I'm an overweight 27 year old former college athlete that just let himself get into the world of corporate lunches and fast food during the day.  Recently, I have started getting back into my athletic routine.  Two weeks ago, I had an unbelievably stressful weekend and didn't eat for almost 5 days.  My body was still going strong, I was exercising and I had a ton of energy.  I was keeping my body hydrated, taking multivitamins to give my body what I needed and taking protein after working out, running or blading.  I have simply almost eliminated food from my diet.  So my roommate and I were talking and we were looking to film a weight loss documentary using me as an example.  Now, I KNOW that it's not a healthy way to lose weight, but I was hoping that someone could tell me what would happen should someone keep their body filled with the essential vitamins and hyrdrated, yet only eliminate food from the picture.  Like I said, I know that it's not the preferred method, but at the same time, I wonder exactly what would happen.  I have a doctor appointment on Oct. 17th to talk with a doctor about this, but I was hoping for some feedback from this board.  I appreciate your help.

I agree with most everyone in here. rapid weight loss using what you did is dangerous for most people. You may be young enough and fit enough because you are an athlete, but those looking for a quickfix may get more than they bargained for.

The safest way is still to exercise, eat healthy, and if needed, get proper supplements.

I am so sick of the diet industry and I am telling anyone that wants to lose weight.
I found the secret of how to lose unwanted excess body fat and weight by using certain food combinations that work in harmony and increase your energy level with normal foods.
These are homemade healthy tasty  menu's with fat/calorie burning food combinations.

I personally lost almost 40 lbs and I am passing it on to anyone that wants to try one of my menu's for
free. A friend of mine lost 47 lbs in a little over 6 weeks and his doctor told him to keep doing what he is doing because his vitals are excellent and he knows it's from my menu's.
E-mail me if you want one of my menu's for free.
By combining certain foods together you can lose alot of weight and get your sluggish metabolism
moving.   So if you want some really good tasting Menu's that I put together to lose alot of weight in a healthy way I will email you one for free.  My homemade healthy Menu's  work on everyone and everyone feels great and the best part is there is no portion control and it never feels like your dieting.
because your just eating tasty foods.

As stated by many above, by not getting proper nutrition your metabolism slows down and is indeed unhealthy and very possibly dangerous long term.

I hope that list of common mistakes above meant not drinking enough water was a mistake.
Drinking a min. of 8 glasses of filtered or purified water is very good to help with weight lose.

As far as Diet pills, I personally would not take them.
Isagenix can have similar results but all naturall and organic.
Much safer and better in my opinion.

Another souce to check out on the diet pills mentioned above.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phentermine

Reduce calories in and increase calories out, right.
Its not all that easy I know.

Well Isagenix makes it easer to do both and feeds your body all the nourishment it requires so your brain doesn’t signal you to go looking in the fridge (or elsewhere) for something it needs but you don’t know what.

Check out the website below to find out how then call if questions.

This is one very important part of the program but there is much more.

Our environment is full of impurities and toxins that are absorbed by our bodies.
One of the ways the liver deals with impurities is to increase body fat to enfold these
impurities to protect the body from their influence.

Diets are not successful for long term
weight loss because they don’t address the need to cleanse the body of impurities.
Isagenix is not a colon cleanse, as part of the program you do a whole body cellular cleanse.

Check out this site to watch a video w/ explanation.

This program is endorsed by numerous Dr.'s and health professionals,

Dear Friend,

You haven't mentioned that What is your present weight & height. Telling you one thing that weight loss process is heavily dependent on your eating habits & proper exercise as you can digest your food.
See weight loss is not a fly by night process. It takes time.
common weight loss mistakes are as follows:

(1) you have to fix your diet plan according to you(becuase u r obese) not according to a average person. this thing is often ignored by most of the people. because they follow a diet plan that is suitable for an average healthy man.
(2) not burning extra calories while exercising is another factor of why our weight loss efforts dies most of the time. For this you required spend extra time in the gym.
(3) avoid eating junk food, drinking caffeine. In the other words change your eating habits.
(4) Drink lot of water.
(5) Do a lot of execrcise & out door activities.

If you are extremly obese, you can take help of diet pill
phentermine,xenical etc. with proper execrcise.
But before using diet pill you take proper precaution:

Diet pills do help to control obesity and shed off the extra
pounds which you are uncomfortable with. If followed properly with a medical practitioner

jferrin,

Your young enough and still healthy enough to try a weight loss program without medication.  I suggest Weight Watchers or something along those lines.  You need to eat to burn if not your body goes into starvation mode & you store FAT!!!!  God knows I think that's why I'm overweight.  Started starvation diets early on & stored Lots & Lots of fat making it more difficult to lose.. DOn't set yourself up for that..

I am certainly not a doctor or even in the healthcare field, but I have dieted on and off in one shape or another for many many years.
If you don't eat any food at all, your muscles will deteriorate and you body will start to burn your lean muscle mass.  I can not even think that your doctor would allow you to do this.  Your heart for one wouldn't be able to withstand living on vitamin pills alone.
Isn't that essentially being anorexic? not eating anything or burning off every calorie you take in for the day?
Please reconsider?  Why not do a doctor supervised weight loss plan, at least they can make sure you are getting enough calories to sustain your body.  Not to mention, you will have blood pressure checks and other tests on a routine basis while doing something so drastic.
Good luck and I hope you reconsider, this doesn't sound healthy at all.
