WANT TO LIVE LONGER, BE STRONGER?

It is no secret that exercise is good for your body.  In fact, research suggests it is one of the most important things you can do to keep yourself healthy, and happy.

“It is never too late to become what you might have been” – George Eliot

Young or old, you can benefit from physical activity.  Younger people will increase their strength, well-being throughout life, and longevity with regular exercise.  If you are a senior, research suggests physical activity improves your ability to care for yourself.

I am SO well aware of the benefits of regular vigorous exercise and have felt the benefits for myself, but admittedly have not been adhering to my regular exercise regimen secondary to an insane work schedule.  So I voted that I needed to make it a priority in my life.

Totally agree that exercise helps you live longer. What i have learned, so far, from going to Action Heart Gym, is that if i keep my heart beat between 135 &1 45 beats per minute (on short burst exercise) it not only helps me to loose weight but also helps to strengthen my heart. Which cannot be bad.

Well, leave it to me.... I checked the wrong choice.  I do get some form(s) of exercise every day, but I can use more info.  Maybe I need to change my mindset a bit.

This looks like it will be an interesting series.

This makes a good point!  Exercise MUST be about more than losing weight.  It should be about living longer and being stronger.  Studies have proven that people who exercise for HEALTH reasons are more likely (don't remember the statistic) to stick with it.

Looking forward to this series!
