I really wouldn't recommend diet pills! The best way to lose weight still is by eating a healthy diet and exercise.
If looking to lose weight you should eat lots of veggies, especially leafy green. Lean meats and fish such as chicken, tuna and salmon. You should also eat things like brown rice, beans and potatoes!
To start losing weight at a steady pace subtract 500 calories a day from your maintenance calories.
Follow a exercise program! it really helped me.
Remember change doesn't happen overnight. If your consistent you WILL see results in time...... Good luck!
Thank you I'm just upset my husband has made many comments about the weight that I have gained I just have to find a way to stick to it thanks again
You might what to add Garcinia Cambogia (fruit) 1500 mg & GCB (Green Coffee Bean) Extract. I believe it's 400 mg. these are not prescription medications, they are natural dietary supplements. You can find them at GNC Stores or any health food store. It does not cause gitters or shakiness. The only thing I've noticed is my appetite has decreased. Now, I've also stayed on a healthy diet, fish, veggies, chicken, rice (brown) & WATER! Lots of water!
Now if you are seeing a doctor, you should ask his opinion first before you take anything.
Hope this helps!
I agree that diet pills are not the way to go, but it's true that Garcinia Cambogia can help curb your appetite. Green coffee bean would probably help, too, but it can cause rapid heart rate and high blood pressure. Be careful of that.
I agree with eating lots of veggies, lean protein, such as lean red meats, chicken, fish, low/no fat dairy, etc.
And of course, exercise is very important because it and protein are what helps build muscle and muscle burns fat.
Even a brisk walk for 20-30 minutes/day will go a long way toward reaching a goal.
Try setting smaller goals (say losing 5 pounds) and once you reach that goal, give yourself a small treat (like a piece of dark chocolate, a new lipstick, etc).
I find that it's best if I set a particular time to exercise, rather than trying to fit it into my day, because often the day is gone and I still haven't fitted it in. Give yoga a try.
It's also a good idea to keep a food diary to let you know exactly what you've eaten/drank throughout the day. A food diary can be real eye opener if you're honest with it.
Last, but not least is that you might want to ask your doctor some simple blood tests to make sure you don't have an under active thyroid gland. The tests you need are Free T3, Free T4 and TSH. You might also ask for thyroid antibody tests.
Another thing you want to look into is insulin resistance, which is when your body doesn't respond properly to insulin. Insulin is a fat storage hormone and if you don't use the calories you take in for exercise, insulin will shuttle straight to the fat cells.
Stick around, we should be able to help keep you motivated.
Depending on where you live you can get phentremine. It works wonders. It isn't good for you but I dropped 17 pounds in one month with it
Problem with phentermine is that the weight is almost always regained after you stop taking the med.
Thank you all so much! I am challenging myself to start out small like somebody had mentioned, 5 pounds and walking at least 20 minutes a day, I know I can do this I just really need support. I moved to Texas 3 years ago and I do not have any friends or family here so I get depressed and down and of course off track but I am going to do it I know I can!!!!
