There are a lot of us who need to lose more than a few pounds. Have you read some of the other posts? There are some that need to lose a lot, some already have lost a lot and some just a few.
Have you checked with your doctor to make sure you don't have a medical issue that might prevent weight loss - such as thyroid, pre-diabetes/insulin resistance, etc?
That said, please give us an idea of what types of food/how often you eat. What types and how often do you exercise?
Last but certainly not least, please read some of the other posts - there are some excellent ideas and they apply to everyone, whether you need to lose a little or a lot.
Come back here often to get support and motivation.
I am right there with you. I am 28- soon to be 29- and have gone from 120lbs and a size 6 to 200 and a size 18. I am willing to offer whatever support I can to help you on the road to a happier you, if you are willing to do the same. You may have a little more that you want to lose than I do but 70 extra pounds on a 5ft body is a lot- I'm here for you and can understand where you're coming from........we CAN do this!
