Well, here I am again, with another week behind. I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Mine was good; Thanksgiving dinner was at the rehab center with Auntie and was very good. Yesterday was Thanksgiving, again, with my daughter and her family, who were unable to join us on Thanksgiving Day. Of course, I did the cooking.
Anyway, things are gradually starting to settle down here, and I'm hoping to be able to enjoy retirement soon.
As far as my weight is concerned, I haven't done so well. I'm up another 2 pounds this morning, from last week. I'm becoming concerned about it, only because I've been retaining a lot of fluid lately. Sometimes, within a couple hours of getting up, my feet/ankles are twice their normal size; my fingers puff up horribly and I've even had to work my rings off, to keep them from cutting into my fingers. I have no idea what might be causing this, but I do have a doctor appointment tomorrow morning, so will be sure to try to find out. It may have something to do with my thyroid issue, which means I'll have to go back to my endo.
Anyway, I'm up from last week's 146 lbs to 148 this morning. My eating hasn't changed and I've been walking nearly every day (only missed 2 days this week), with my winter neighbor. As soon as I hit "post" on this, I'm going to get out the yoga dvd that I've had for over a year and never taken out of the case.
Okay, enough about me; how are all of you doing? Again, I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and that you were able to maintain your status through the holiday. Let us know how you did.
Wishing everyone a great week.
Remember, we win by losing.
