If the calorie goal isn't changing as you change other information, then I'm not sure what's wrong, unless you have your start and stop dates too close together.
You can go the Improve MedHelp Suggestions and ask your question. The mods there can help you. You can access that forum via the following link:

I tried fiddling with it, changing my starting weight by as much as100 pounds and the target calorie goal never changes. It also doesn't keep a correct running total of the daily calories. Weird.
If you have your start/stop dates set too close together, you will get unreasonable calorie amounts.
When you set up the app, it should have calculated your BMR, which is the amount of calories you'd need to maintain your weight, if you were just going to rest all day. In order to lose weight, you need to subtract calories from your BMR, so you'll be burning fat. Typically, adult women should not go below 1200 calories/day. Children/young adults would need more calories.
I was wondering the same thing. I am trying to lose weight and it has my calorie goal at 2300 a day which seems too high. I can't figure out how to change it.
A young, active person who wants to maintain their weight may consume around 2,000 calories per day. Older people need fewer calories and are wise to reduce animal proteins and increase vegetables and whole organic fruits and nuts (in small amounts ... if no allergies).
A lean diet would be around 1,500 calories, and a strict diet would be about 1,200 calories, in general.
So until your number is closer to this range, something isn't right about your formula. I have not used the formula on this site, though.
