You seem to already know what you need to do.............good for you! I am glad you had your Dr's approval before starting.....that is an added plus! You could be right about the hypoglycemia......My husband keeps a tube of Oral Glucose Gel with him at all times...He has the cool tingling feeling in his hands and sometimes feet! Dieting effects hypoglycemia.............when my husband doesn't eat right(working)....he complains of these symptoms.....his blood sugar has gotten into the teens...not a good thing!
Call your Dr. on Monday and explain what has been happening....between the both of you...you will be able to find a solution! He might want to do some lab work...??
Best of luck with your new food and exercise plan!!! Janice
Hi there,
I'm glad you'll call the doctor. Ask him/her to get an accurate weight and discuss if/how you should address your diet. We can all have some body distortion issues, so going by how your clothes feel might be off, even by a lot!
Do you just get the numbness/tingling when you exercise? If you put lots of pressure on your feet (like what would happen using a stair climber, for instance) that could be the source. If the tingling persists and isn't just a brief thing during/after exercise, you DEFINITELY should get your doctor to track it down. It could be caused by lots of fairly harmless things, but you and your doctor should address it.
Good luck, and enjoy the weekend!
I'm 5'6" and around 175 - I'm not weighing myself, just going by how my clothes fit. I'm taking a multi-vitamin. My doctor is the one who told me what to do. I did think that it could be something to do with my hypoglycemia - my symptoms do go hand in hand with that. I mean my sugar has been perfect lately but maybe it still has something to do with that.
Monday I think I'll just call my doctor.
Thanks for your help. :)
Welcome to the Weight loss and Dieting community! I agree with Skailark..it is always best to check with a Dr. before starting any wt. loss and exercise program.
We don't know your weight and height....but you could be eating to fewer calories...that could possibly causing you to have chills.....you stay cooler when you are dieting...coz you are taking in fewer calories...so your body is having to work harder to maintain body fuctions.....................if you are drinking more water...you could also be depleting your body of potassium......try a good multi-vitamin that had potassium in it.....better than that..try eating foods that have potassium......hope this helps you some.....if the tingling continues.....i would recommend seeing your Dr. and explain to him.......it could be the certain exercises you are doing........Janice
I was exercising sometimes but not as much. I've improved a lot. I don't feel like I've pulled anything or hurt myself in any other way. It's just the numbness that's the problem. Well, I take that back, I've also gotten chills every now and then since starting.
Well....it is always best to contact your physician before any exercise plan.Having said that I have to ask you have you been exercasing even before the diet plan you are following?
