Sunday Weigh In

Another week has gone by and we've all gotten through the holidays; now into a NEW YEAR.

How did we all do with our weight loss journey over this period?

I've been under a lot of stress lately and have not been eating well, so am down 1 pound.  It's great that I'm down, I just would prefer not to do it in this manner.  Oh well, I guess we take what we can get, huh??

Hoping that you all made it through the holiday parties, extra meals, etc and can keep moving forward on your journey.  If you gained -- remember: yesterday is gone and we can't undo anything, so put it aside and move beyond it.

I know how hard and draining helping a loved one can be. My grandparents got into a really bad car accident years ago and it seemed like I was there only advocate. It's very difficult to take it on yourself. I hope everything works out for the best and as soon as possible for you and your aunt.

You've done an absolutely wonderful job of getting to your goal.  I'm totally jealous of your commitment.  LOL

I think the Holiday time is almost always hard on weight loss efforts.  I only lost because of the stress I've been under lately.  But I'm sure going to try not to gain it back.

OK then. Now I get it. I put more on for Christmas than I was planning and have just now started to come down. I'm feeling strong about accomplishing my goal and hope to stay strong the next several weeks ahead.

tigerlilly --- just post your weight from this morning, if you weighed yourself this morning.  If you didn't, you can post whatever you were the last time you weighed.  I weigh myself each morning, but the only reading I consider "official" is the Sunday morning reading.  Weigh yourself AFTER you've gone to the bathroom and BEFORE you have your coffee, breakfast.  Then post your weight, in the weigh in thread, like ilovemyson23 did above.  You can also mention any specific roadblocks you may have hit during the week, or successes you had, if you are feeling really good about things, etc. You can also add your weight ticker like I and ilovemyson23 did. If you don't know how to do that, I'll explain it to you.

ilovemyson23--- thank you, but I'm really NOT close to my goal.  My ultimate goal is to be around 115-120, but I set my "first" goal at 140, so it didn't seem like I was trying to do something impossible.  Losing 5-10 pounds doesn't seem as daunting as losing 25-30, so I'm trying to make it "baby steps".  When I hit the 140 mark and can maintain that, I'll lower my goal to 135.  Each time I hit another goal, I will lower it.

It's okay if you want to try the same thing.  It's not so depressing to see that you only have a FEW pounds to reach a goal, as it is with a lot.  It gives me more confidence in myself.
