PLEASE ANSWEWR THIS??

im 5' 11" male  46 not active except 120 crunches every other day and curs and triceps..the cardio is going to the store and things like that for now.. my weight is 266...to maintain this weight  whats the Cal's needed to do that..so i can go under that in sets of days to lose weight..i lost 60 pounds in a yr..gained 12 back../cuz not paying attn to what and when eating.. 6 min tootsie rolls 150 Cal's  eat a handful would be 300 Cal's no good...so me not very active cuz of knees..on methadone   for pain......was only eating 1600 aday for a yr..some days 1400  but was good with this...wants the thermosat in ur mind is were it needs to be..and a great thyroid you can lose weight..12 pounds i gained dont seem like alot but i feel it in my pants..

how  much to just maintain my present weight  without gaining any?? ( THE GOLDEN RULE  DONT GO TO THE STORE WHEN UR HUNGARY..DO YOU  AGREE????)......THANKS  JAMES

Wonko has given you excellent advice, so it's hard to add to it.  

If you are not very active at the moment, it's more important than ever to make sure you are eating well-rounded and healthy.  You are so "right on" in following the golden rule of grocery shopping!  NEVER go to the grocery store hungry.  Make a list and STICK TO IT!!!

Hi There,

You can google/search "basal metabolic rate" to find calculators online.  I put your info into one, and listed you as "lightly active."  It returned that you need 3005 cal per day.

One pound is 3,500 calories.  It's safe to lose 1-2 lb per week.  So if you create a calorie deficit by eating less, exercising more, of 500-1000 calories per day, you should lose those 1-2 lbs per week.

I DO agree about the golden rule!  I also try to take just enough canvas bags with me to the store.  Then as I go through the store, I am more conscious and try not to put more into my cart than can fit into my grocery bags.
