One piece of pizza and a bread stick doesn't mean that you fell off the wagon, will not "derail" your entire diet and doesn't mean you are doing anything wrong. Ok maybe it wasn't the best for you, but you can't continually deprive yourself or you will never stick with a program. Goodness, if I had to tell myself that I'd never eat another piece of pizza or a breadstick for the rest of my life, I'd give up right now!!
I know you want to lose weight very quickly, but that's not reasonable; a 2 pound loss for the week is excellent. I'd give my eye teeth to have lost 2 pounds rather than gained the 3 pounds that I did (and I didn't even eat pizza and a bread stick!! lol). Just consider the pizza and bread stick as your treat for losing the 2 pounds and get back on track today.
Please make sure that you keep everything in perspective and be good to yourself. I'm not sure how much you exercise, but I think I mentioned once before that you might want to think about stepping up your exercise a bit rather than relying strictly on cutting calories to lose weight. You have to eat enough to stay healthy and you must have foods that you enjoy or you will not stick with any kind of program - next time, how about trying a veggie pizza??
Keep up the good work and please stop beating yourself up for every morsel that you eat.
Remember every day is a new start - infact someone once said to me- every meal is a new chance.... its okay to have a bad day - sometimes a bad day does us good as it confuses the body and helps the weight loss again.
Also 1-2lb a week is normal healthy weightloss after the initial fluid loss.... so 2lb is good not bad :) x
That's alright!!!
I know how you feel, this week hasn't been the healthiest for my family. Just be glad it was one day and one meal! I have to do a lot of work to lose something this week. It wasn't my best.
I realized though, we all fall off the course at times. I personally see it as a challenge to myself to workout to work it off, and to also learn from it and try to avoid it next time.
Good luck!! You can do it! next time you happen to want to eat a snack you know you shouldn't, grab a stick of Extra sugar free gum (thank you Biggest Loser!) or drink more water!
Also, one thing I learned from my PE teacher, Don't go into the kitchen when you're bored, mad, depressed, or thinking. Chances are you'll go in not knowing what you're doing, but come out snacking.
Don't be mad though, you know what you did, and you can't really change it. Just learn from it and move forward. Good luck again!
