mmm sounds yummy thank u so muh 4 your help :)
I eat lean meats -- sirloin, pork chops, chicken, fish, veggies, fruit, oatmeal and whole grain pasta. You can cook your veggies and add spices to them -- makes them not so plain. I sometimes steam broccoli, cauliflower and carrots, then add spritz of lemon juice, with small amount of sea salt. Fresh tomatoes, sliced with dash sea salt. Raw carrots, celery, etc............
Try large varieties of foods and spices -- "mix & match"............
i will try my best starting tomorrow :) i will let u no how much i lose this week if any lol yes i do like veg but i find wat ever i eat gealthy is very plain i dont eat much meat so eg are quorn and veg or fish and veg yuck lol wat type of things do u eat?? xx
First thing I'd like for you to do is start drinking more liquids. Although water is best, it doesn't necessarily HAVE to be water, but you need to keep your body hydrated. Even if you aren't thirsty, make a point of sipping some water -- say, like every 30 minutes or so; doesn't have to be a lot, just a few sips.
Next thing I'd like for you to do is add a few veggies to your diet. Surely, there must be some veggies that you like??
Now, you need to figure out some type(s) of exercise that you will enjoy -- if nothing else, for the time being, just go for a 30 minute walk every day. If you walk slowly, you should not do further damage to your knees, but if in doubt, talk to your doctor first.
Good luck........I'll be waiting to hear what you decide.
thank u for your help yes i prob eat to much fruit lol, and also i have only 1 drink a day always have im never thirsty its annoyimg but yes im defo game if you are thank u again xx
If you eat a lot of fruit, but no veggies, you might be getting too much sugar. Fruit is very good for you and has lots of natural sugar and if the sugar is not used for energy, it will go to fat in your body.
Do you eat meat? Dairy? It sounds like you might need to add some protein and fiber, but I'm not totally sure.
It would be a good idea if you would implement the food diary here on med help, where you list what foods and amounts you've eaten for each meal/snack, plus whatever you have drank. That would help immensely in knowing what you are currently eating and what you might need to cut back on or increase.
Lean meat, chicken, fish, beans, nuts, etc will provide protein. Low/no fat dairy, including milk, cheese, yogurt will also provide protein, along with calcium and other vitamins and minerals -- aim for 3 servings/day of dairy. Veggies will provide plenty of fiber to fill you up, plus vitamins/minerals that your body needs.
Your knee problem could be because you are carrying excess weight -- that's a problem that I have also. I might suggest that you try walking on a daily basis as that will help burn calories, plus keep you moving. I understand that you have a baby -- put him in the stroller and go for it -- he needs fresh air, sunshine also.
As far as swimming is concerned -- well, don't worry about how you look in a bathing suit -- water aerobics is some of the best exercise you can get if you have a bad back, weak knees, hips, etc........ I can almost guarantee that if you joined a water aerobics class, you would see people who look just like, or worse than, you......stop worrying about your looks and do what's good for you............I know -- easier for me to say, than for you to do -- I have to take my own advice sometimes........I'm only 5" tall and weigh 145 --- not good, so let's go at this together and see what we can accomplish............I'm game if you are..........

What methods have you tried so far?
