Not eating an entire day isn't the way to go. Weight loss is achieved with patience and perseverance. It takes time. If you stop eating, your body will go into starvation mode and will hold on to whatever it has and not let go. It’s survival!!! I do not think it will help you lose weight, nop. And if you start to not eat, your brain may shut down or your stomach may get damaged, making it difficult to digest foods in the future. You’d be creating more problems by not eating.
I doubt not eating for one day will have much of an effect on you, in any way. You'll wake up the next day really hungry though and probably end up eating more than you normally would.
