Try making small changes that you can stick with, rather than trying to change your entire lifestyle all at once.
For instance, if you drink a lot of sodas, exchange one/day with water and keep doing that until eventually, you only drink water (or unsweetened tea, coffee, etc). Don't drink fruit juice, as that's pretty much empty calories.
If you normally eat a candy bar or cookie for a snack, replace it with a slice of whole grain bread and peanut butter, an apple with peanut butter, etc.
You need more than cardio for exercise, to lose weight. You need to do some strength training, as well. There are plenty of exercises that use only your own body weight for strength exercises, or you can try yoga, which is excellent. You can google "yoga" and come up with hundreds of yoga videos.
I'm a female, 22 y.o. and I just started my healthy life transformation. My advice is to eat clean- this means no processed, fatty, sugary, inorganic food. Cardio at least 30 mins 5 days a week (but if you are just starting working out, start slower, don't kill yourself) and no soda, alcohol or cigarette smoking. The key to losing weight (and keeping it off) is to never diet... diets don't last! Changing your life does! Remember, real changes don't happen over night, things on life worth having takes effort, dedication and time. Good luck!
Hi I am 14 and I am trying to lose 50lbs to though I haven't been to the doctor I always feel I eat a lot of sugary food and drink
Hi, do you consume a lot of sugary drinks? If you cut those out completely, that will make a huge difference. Also, no fast food. Good Luck and make sure you get at least 30 minutes of cardio a day.
