I am new to all this working out and eating right thing and really don't have any idea what I am doing. Also lack motivation or loose motivation within a few days. How do I get and stay motivated?

I'm in exactly the same boat right now... I've just startes on a calorie counting diet to lose 2 stone and 5 pounds by the beginning of November. I know I'll look better when I lose weight and I miss being slim as I was in all my old photos but I'm seriously lacking motivation to keep at it :( Help?

I have been using the Couch to 5 K app it's mostly walking with short intervals of jogging.. And I am NOT a runner..it's easy and the jogging intervals are short enough to tolerate!  Also I fill up on things like raw veggies and hummus which are super low cal and delish! I also find plugging in all my food choices to this app help me to be more mindful and accountable for what I'm choosing!  Good Luck!!

From what I understand, all you need for the Wii dance is a remote controller.

WiiFit requires the Wii board. Not sure how expensive that is, now.  From what I can tell, the balance board, with software is around $100.

I have wii sports and wii sparts resort. I really like most of the sports that are on both of them. The ones I feel are working me out more then the others are basketball, baseball, and bowling. I do like the table tennis regular tennis, and archery. It is really fun to play and beat my own score. I just don't want to loose motivation if I don't see the results right away. I tend to loose focus. That's why I got this app. So I can actually see how I've been eating. Also for the support and helpful info to keep me on track.

Look into WiiFit...... I have that and though I haven't been doing it recently, there are some really good exercises you can do with it, including yoga, strength training, aerobics, etc.  You can work out at different levels.

Wii also has the sports dvd, that includes bowling, tennis and a couple other sports.

I think you hit the nail on the head with that one. My mind wonders way to much & I think of exercise as a chore. My husband just bought me a wii. I know there are quite a bit of games out for the wii that gets you up and moving. Maybe I can look into something like that.

Sometimes, it's a "mind set".  It's hard to stick with, but once you do it often enough, it becomes "natural" and you look forward to it.

Experiment and change things around (with both food and exercise), so you don't get bored.  Make sure your exercise is something you enjoy doing, so it's more like fun than work.

If you can give us an idea of what things you're trying, what you enjoy, etc, maybe we can help get you started.
