need some motivation

So I've been on a low calorie diet (less than 1500 calories) per day and working out at the gym for an hour oror more 4 times a week. I'm currently at 147lbs and have been for the last 3 weeks!! Since i started my diet. Has this happened to anyone else. I know it might just be muscle keeping me from losing weight. I would love some advice about working out and losing weight. i don't know what else to do

Cut down on the simple carbs like sugary drinks, candies, cakes, cookies, pastries, etc, but do eat plenty of complex carbs, such as veggies and whole grains.

Vary, both, your exercise and calorie intake.  Doing exactly the same thing every day, causes your body to get used to it, so it's no longer a challenge.

Make sure you don't cut calories too much.

hi sushigirl89!  the reason that your weight loss doesn't seem to be moving is because your body is in a "weight gaining rhythm" or a dormant rhythm.  you need to spark your body.  charge it and wake it up.  there's nothing wrong with you...just your strategy.  if you enjoy working out then keep it up.  whatever brings you happiness will strengthen your weight loss foundation.  if you don['t like working out, then i'm here to tell you that you don't have to.  it's up to you.  have a glorious, logical day!

What kinds of exercising are you doing? Cardio is best if you wasn't to lose weight, along with a little bit of strength training because muscles help to burn calories faster. Also, even though you're on a low cal diet it could still be the types of foods you're eating that are keeping you from losing weight. You want to stay away from sugary foods and things high in carbs, because carbs turn into sugar and sugar turns into fat. Though some carbs are okay, just don't over do it. Also eat plenty of fruits and veggies and drink lots of water. Those things will help to keep you full longer. You also shouldn't be depriving your body, so try not to eat less than at least 1200 calories, because if you don't eat enough then your body will starve itself and you could end up gaining weight. There are also foods that will help boost your metabolism, like spicy foods. Hope this helps and good luck!
