Hi
Well not in the sense that it will ruin your life but carbs and sugar is what fuels our bodies so we do tend to crave that kind of stuff. I would be careful on a diet that is too low in carbs. I know it's all the rage as far as dieting goes today but it is really an unhealthy way to lose weight when taken to extreme.
Hope this helps ;)
i don't know as far as addictive... but from what i know, starch is converted into sugar and you know how sugar can affect our brain... too much, it overstimulates it, too little is not good either... bread and carbohydrates can spike up our insulin and you will crave for them the more you eat them....
No carbohydrates at all is not good for us, our bodies need all the nutrients but you can cut down the white bread and substitute with complex carbs, some cereal in the morning and you will feel ok, eat five or six small meals a day so that you control the insulin levels and you won't have those strong cravings of it.
