cheat day ><

I have been on a 700 calories diet for a 3 weeks now. And sundays are my cheat days. But yesterday i ate quite a lot, really a lot! I weigh 61.5 kg but last night (sunday) it was up by 3.5 kg!

I know most of it is probably water weight and waste and sure my weight fluctuates but not THAT MUCH!

Is this normal? i know it will go away in 2 days but its really discouraging. Seems like my body cant handle anything else but some fruits and sandwiches!

thank you for commenting. I understand what you are saying and I am gonna go with your advice. I do kickboxing, but was on a bed rest 6 months. So I just wanted to take the easy path in order to get back in my weight category. I have lost a lot of muscles too.

2 hours training and not enough food to give me the energy to go on. Thats just stupid.

I dont know what I was thinking. I have 2 months on me and thats good enough to get back in shape.

Thanks again!

First off, a 700 calorie/day diet is way too drastic.  That's not enough calories to keep your body going properly.  At 17, your body is not fully developed yet and cutting calories that severely can cause multiple health issues as you age. A healthy diet, that you can maintain as a lifestyle and moderate exercise are the safest way to lose weight - if you even need to lose weight.

If all you're eating is fruit and sandwiches, you aren't getting nearly enough nutrition.

Yes, it's normal for weight to fluctuate and yes, after you have a cheat day, it could fluctuate by 3.5 pounds, depending on what you ate, particularly the salt content. Mine often fluctuates as much as 5-7 lbs.  You should never weigh at night, because your weight will surely be higher than it is in the morning, after you've gone several hours without eating.  You should weigh first thing in the morning, after you've gone to the bathroom and before you eat or drink anything.  It's also best not to weigh daily, unless you understand how greatly weight can fluctuate, and why.
