It is when I eat a lot of vegetable and fruit with little to bread, butter, or pasta that I was gaining weight. As soon as added pasta, bread and other things I started loosing.
I was eating---
Breakfast----weetbix,suger and milk
Snack- ---carrot's
Lunch----carrot's, cruskit's, caned fruit either pears or peaches and little bit cheese some times egg's
snack ----- sultana's
Tea ----------- veg and meat( if I felt like the meat not a big meat eater)
Latly I've been eating
Breakfast---weetbix, sugar, milk
snack---Caned fruit either pear's or peaches. or a milkyway(choc) some day mainly when I'm shopping or active in some way.
lunch ---- Cruskit's with ALL fruit jam( I have suger intolerance have since I was a kid)
Snack---crumpet's with jam or diet chocolate moose or I may have a milkyway if I'm active is some way.
Tea-- I still mainly have vegtables and meat when I feel like it or can afford it but I have been eating way more patatoe, pasta, rice, and even having gravy and bread with butter. This is the most confusing as I've always been told that to cut down these things big time, as well as have a small tea and bigger lunch.
Desert--B'day cake or ice cream with chocolate topping. Only the past week because it was daughter b'day. We dont really have desert often as a kids we almost alway got a scoop of ice after tea and no one in my family became over weight, but now in my house and with my partner ice cream gets eaten way to fast if it's in the house so its a rare things to have in our frezzer.
I've also had some very slack(bad) meals that shocked me when I still lost weight lol I felt for sure that eating a whole chocolate self sausing pudding with a liltte light cream would ruin all my hard work but it did not. Another day we had nacho's for tea and on another day we had chip sandwich's. But despite this I still lost weight and did not go back over the 100kg I stayed under at 99kg.
I dont have diabete's or a thyroide problem I was only tested recently due to having a lot of trouble with intence fatigue. It turns out it was tachycardia causing the problem since being on Ivabradine I have been getting more active again finally I can even run up and down the stair some day's and feel great about it before I could barly walk up the stairs with out feeling I was going to fall down or pass out. I'm having a echo done in a fue days to rule out a serious cause for the tachycardia.
I try to eat healthy where eva I can but in saying that if you cant have a bit fun with food some day's then it's really boring eating I'd rather go hungry I have gone hungry lots when food becomes borring. I like to try to keep food interesting in some way mainly flavour wise. I'm not an goumet cheif not even close but with four kids you have to find interesting ways to get kids to eat vegetable's. I know the importance of fruit and veg I alway have but I think some times I cut too much fat out my diet sometime. I proberly need to eat protein big time I'm not a big fan of meat. I dont really like many other forms of protein except egg's, I eat baked beans some time use to live on them as a kid refused to eat much as kids. They say kids dont starve them self that they will eat when there hungry but I can tell you I hated food as kid and I would go hungry to avoid eating stuff I did not like. I was seriously underweight as kid and as a teen.
It will be interesting when I start seeing a dietician thats for sure. Most of the time I dont over eat even if my partner puts too much on my plate but some times I eat more than I think I should and latly I felt that alot yet I'm loosing weight so the only reason I can think of is because I'm not really eating enough cal or something to suport my body. Basicly I wonder if I'm causing my body to go in to starvation mode but then if that's the case why did I still loose weight in hospital with little amount of food cause I refused to eat what was served except the bread and butter or potatoe and gravy part of the meal. I barly had the energy to stand up I was so tired and fatigued that I visably wobbly and the nurses always seemed ready to catch me lol. I was use to feeling fatigue I'm glad its going away now. I cant wait till I can buy my recumbent exercise bike soon, I'm realy starting to feel my energy come back big time and I enjoyed the recombent bike at the jym it does not hut my butt. Normal exercise bike make me want to get off before I'm tired because my butt hurts way too much. Dont know howa fat but can hurt so much but it does lol.
Have you been checked for diabetes? Or hyperthyroidism? Both can cause weight loss without trying.
Even if you are losing weight, eating candy, cakes, etc - it's not good for you. All that sugar and fat is very harmful to your overall health. I'm glad you will be seeing a dietician; if you were gaining weight on "healthy" foods, maybe it was the wrong kind of healthy foods.
You need to concentrate on getting plenty of fresh fruits, veggies, lean dairy, whole grains, etc.
