everything you have described has been completley normal for me, and I always use tampons, cant imagine using anything else. try O.B. tampons, no applicator or with, they come both ways, but they expand to fit your body. It will take you a few trys before you get it inserted correctly to where its not uncomfortable at all. pretty soon you wont even know you have one in. The oddly colored blood is just dried blood and nothing to worry about. tampons catch more of the mess, not tryin to be gross, and it wont always be full when you take it out either, its all normal...no worries
yeh totally normal, at first i hated it but because i did athletics and swimming wearing a pad did not look right under swimmers or under athletics shorts. You will get used to it and after a bit you will not even notice you are wearing one :)
Using a tampon is very nice to use considering the other option a pad. Man that makes you feel like a baby.
You should consider getting a variety pack and inserting the smallest one first and see how that works. If that seems to be filling up fast then try the next and so forth. Never use the biggest just to be safe because then you could produce the risk of toxic shock syndrom.
Also get the plastic easy glide they are much easier to use than the cardboard, paying the extra money for them is well worth it.
If your body produces clots like that then no matter what you use will not defect the reasons as to why there are more or less in a cycle. That is just your body working is its wierd ways.
Also a tampon will not change the flow it just catches it before it leaves your body, you might of just been spotting and not ready for a full cycle.
All in all a tampon will not change your cycle just another method of collecting that ****.
But if it hurts you to much then I would stick to the pad as bad as that seems but I wouldn't want to go through any unnecessary pain. Besides what already comes such as the cramps.
Let me know if this helps any or that is already what you are doing.
I hope that this helps.
I'm going to try a variety pack to see how that works for me. Its not much of pain, its more of uncomfy. I lay down and get bk up and it feels like the tampon is going to pop out! lol. It does feel a bit btr to the fact that I dont have to wear those pads anymore...they did bother me a lot during the summer time here.
right now I'm having a light flow, very light pinkish. I don't think it's spotting tho. But thanks for the info!!
:)
*THIS IS GRAPHIC SORRY*
Try pushing the tampon further into yourself and that should help with the feeling that it might pop out, that sounds like what is happening.
Try different positions when inserting it inside.
-Laying down
-Squatting
-sitting on the toilet
See if that helps also! This is a change "tampon" and practice gets you to know how your body accepts it.
when do we get to the "graphic" part?
LOL
Well yeah it isn't that graphic but I just didn't want to offend anyone, and I have known 10 year olds on here so no grossing out!!!
It's all ok! Maybe I should of said PG-13, better??
LOL
trying using the tampon 'pearls' they're real soft and they slide in real easy..
or try to use slim fits for awhile until u get use to using tampons.lol they're alot smaller then the regular tampons.
Good luck..
I know the heat in CA sucks!!
and I'm six months pregnant...lol
when i first used a tampon i also got that uncomfortable, tampon about to come out feeling. i would suggest that you insert the applicator into your body about an inch or so before pushing the tampon in. this should eliminate that feeling completely
i hope this helps :)
