You can always ask you dr for a blood test to check your levels. Maybe the hpt isn't sensitive enough to read your hcg (or hgc?) levels.
I found out because the 'flu' lasted for over 3 weeks. You can definitely do what specialmom said and take a hpt, I had all negatives my whole pregnancy with one of my sons, but it gives you a little peace of mind. Other than that, it wouldn't hurt to wait until the 16th (well your doc will probably say wait until a week after but yeah.) Good luck and keep us updated!
You can easily buy a home pregnancy test at any drug store, grocery story, target, wal mart, etc. /they are not very expensive and basically, you pee on a stick. Using first morning's pee is a good idea. so, go get a test and take it! Let us know. good luck
Thank you for your response! How were you able to confirm your pregnancy and at what point? I still just have a feeling I might be pregnant but my doctor thinks I've had my period and doesn't see a need for an exam until (or if) I miss a period. I've been having watery discharge and a little bit of brown spotting when I wipe for the last couple days. If I am pregnant, I would be almost 5 weeks now. If I am not, my next period is due 9/16.
I agree with the previous reply.
But in my experience, I had pregnancy symptoms a week into my pregnancy and shook them off as the flu. (I conveniently got pregnant at the beginning of winter). Boy was I surprised. I also had my 'period' (same length, flow, EVERYTHING) for the first 3 months. I would definitely contact your doctor and at least get it all checked out. Better to be safe. Good Luck!
Hi, I'd say you have had your period.
The way pregnancy symptoms work is that things like nausea and cravings don't start right away. The reason is that we have to have enough of the hormones created by the pregnancy in our system to cause the symptoms and that takes time. So, for most women, nausea starts at around 6 to 7 weeks into the pregnancy.
Also, perhaps you had a chemical miscarriage. This is a very early miscarriage that in the olden days, we just thought was an odd month for our period,
I'd consider an exam with your doctor if you continue to spot. If it is unrelated to pregnancy, then it could be a hormonal issue as you say.
